The hotel is centrally located in Crewkerne, ensuring easy access to the town's attractions and facilities. The rooms, though spacious and modern, overlooked a noisy courtyard at times due to patrons from the pub outside. The service was warm and welcoming but could improve in clearing glasses promptly. The dining experience, while offering fresh French patisseries, had some issues with insufficient staff and organization. The hotel is in line with other accommodations in the area and provides value for money despite occasional shortcomings.

I had a pleasant stay at this inn, with comfortable rooms and helpful staff, all at an excellent value for money. However, the early morning noise and occasional disturbances from other guests were a bit disruptive. The separate building from the pub provided a mostly quiet atmosphere, although the banging of fire doors could be heard at times.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were very nice and good value for money, despite overlooking a supermarket. They were comfortable, but the early morning staff activities on the fire escape were a bit bothersome.
Service
7.0
The staff at this old quaint inn were helpful, offering excellent value for money. However, the disturbances from other hotel guests were a downside to an otherwise pleasant service experience.
Location
6.0
The location of this inn was great as a base for exploring nearby villages and enjoying a quiet environment with a good selection of beers. However, the room location overlooking a courtyard with unpleasant language drifting up marred the experience. The narrow stairway was also inconvenient.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was good, with limited choices but adequate at the price point. However, preordering at check-in and the absence of a ready table in the morning were minor inconveniences.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities at the inn were satisfactory, with no major complaints. The fresh French patisseries were a delightful touch but might not cater to all tastes.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-decorated, but there was a leak from the radiator that went unfixed during my two-day stay, which made me worry about my elderly mother slipping on the wet floor. On the bright side, Jake, who seemed to handle multiple roles, including being the head chef, waiter, and even receptionist, provided a lovely breakfast experience. The half tester room had a charming old-style with mahogany furniture throughout.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were lovely and exceptionally clean, but the maintenance issue with the leaking radiator was concerning.
Service
8.0
Jake's service was outstanding, it was impressive to see him manage multiple roles effectively.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was great, right in the heart of town, making it easy to access local amenities and perfect for those heading to Crewkerne.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was a mixed bag. Although the full English breakfast was recommended, there were some disappointments like the late start time and missing parts of the order.
Facilities
The hotel provides basic facilities, but there were some issues with the dining organization that affected the overall experience.
